The most important check: will the degree be valid in India?

A European medical degree is only useful for practising in India if it meets the National Medical Commission's Foreign Medical Graduate Licentiate (FMGL) Regulations, 2021. Key conditions include a minimum 54-month course, a 12-month internship at the same foreign institution, English as the medium of instruction, the required subjects and eligibility for a licence to practise in that country.
