Finishing Intermediate opens more doors than most students realise. Your group shapes some routes, but many courses accept students from any stream. The aim is not to find the most popular course. It is to find the one that fits you, and to have a backup ready.
These are the common routes. They are not the only ones, and every student should check eligibility for the specific course and college.

Exam names, eligibility rules and subject requirements change from time to time. Always confirm the current rules on the official website of the exam or college before deciding.
Many students do not know that these routes accept students from several groups. They are worth considering if your interests have changed since Class 10.

Fashion, product, communication and interior design, usually through design entrance exams and portfolios.
Hospitality and culinary programmes through national and institute-level admissions.
CA, CMA and CS accept students from different streams, though commerce students start with some familiarity.

List the subjects and activities you enjoy and do well in. An assessment adds objective evidence about interests, abilities and personality.
Find out what people in each career actually do every day. Talk to someone who works in the field.
For each option, note the entrance exam, eligibility, duration and realistic cost. Remove the ones that do not fit.
Keep two or three options. Prepare for your first choice, but have a backup route ready in case results do not go to plan.

There is no single best option. The right course depends on your group, interests, abilities and goals. Compare two or three options that fit you, and plan a backup.
In many cases, yes. Law, design, hospitality, BBA, BA, CA and many other courses accept students from different groups. Engineering and medicine usually need specific subjects, so check eligibility.
Do not decide in a panic. Compare your backup options, consider whether another attempt is realistic for you, and talk it through with your family and a counsellor before choosing.
