Check the fit, not the trend
A strong interest in how things work and comfort with Mathematics point one way. Curiosity about living systems points another. Some students are best suited to neither, and that is fine.
Families in ECIL, AS Rao Nagar and Kapra often face big education decisions early, sometimes in Class 7 or 8 when integrated coaching programmes begin. Career Captain is nearby in Sainikpuri and also works online, helping students choose a direction before they commit years and money to it.
Long-term IIT, NEET and Olympiad foundation programmes are a big commitment of time, energy and fees. They help students who are genuinely suited to that route. For students who are not, they can mean years of pressure aimed at the wrong target.

Integrated junior colleges combine Intermediate with intensive entrance coaching. They suit some students well and overwhelm others. Ask how your child handles long hours, frequent tests and ranking pressure.
Even students who do well in JEE or NEET preparation benefit from knowing two or three other routes that also suit them, so one exam result does not decide everything.
It is common for a student to choose MPC or BiPC because friends did, and then find the subjects or the pace difficult in the first year of Intermediate. Before deciding to push harder or switch, it helps to understand why.
An assessment and a calm discussion can separate a temporary dip from a genuine mismatch. Our guide to stream selection after Class 10 explains the main combinations.
The assessment is not one fixed test for everyone. The questionnaire and the report are matched to the student’s class and age, so a Class 8 report looks different from a Class 12, graduate or working-professional report. Ask us to show you a sample report for your stage before you decide.
A free 15-minute conversation about the student and the decision.

Career Captain is led by Anil Velpula, a certified career counsellor with more than 20 years of corporate, training and mentoring experience.
His work across GE Capital, Synchrony and Cognizant gives a practical view of what different careers actually demand day to day. That perspective sits alongside the assessment results, so recommendations stay grounded in real courses, real jobs and the student’s own circumstances.

Only if the student’s interests and abilities genuinely suit that route and they can manage the extra load. An assessment and a discussion before enrolling can prevent years of effort in the wrong direction.
It is sometimes possible, but rules, timing and seat availability vary by college and board. Discuss it early with the college and a career counsellor so the student understands which degrees each option keeps open.
Yes. Career counselling (or career counseling) is available for college students and graduates as well as school students, at our Sainikpuri office or online.
